QSNCC hosts the hugely successful ISTH 2024 Congress
Thousands of global medical and scientific experts met in Thailand for the 32nd annual meeting of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis
Showcasing the latest breakthroughs and clinical advancements in thrombosis, haemostasis and vascular biology, this was the first time the ISTH Congress had been in the Asian region since 2011 and marked Thailand’s debut.
Occupying more than 70 per cent of the QSNCC’s flexible and substantial event space, the Congress attracted 4,000 participants from more than 100 countries. Clinicians, researchers, educators, healthcare professionals and industry leaders exchanged the latest innovations and progress in understanding, preventing, diagnosing and treating thrombotic and bleeding disorders. Many networking events allowed attendees to collaborate and share knowledge.
QSNCC boasts a versatile 78,500 sqm of event space in its total area of 300,000 sqm. Offering a range of exhibition halls, meeting rooms and a convention hall that can accommodate up to 20,000 delegates, the flexibility of the spaces allowed for the seamless hosting of the large event.
“One of the very important reasons why this meeting was so successful was the experience that everybody had working here at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center,” said Thomas Reiser, Executive Director. “The friendliness of the staff, the entire atmosphere at the Centre contributed to the overall experience for our attendees, ensuring they went away with wonderful memories from the ISTH Congress and also of Bangkok.

Best Convention Centre in Thailand
The QSNCC has been voted Thailand’s Best Convention Centre 2023 by international industry professionals at the World MICE Awards. Recognition of its superb facilities and high standards, the Awards celebrate businesses that have achieved excellence and demonstrate remarkable performance in the events industry.
QSNCC also earned an ‘M&C Asia Stella Awards 2023’ for its initiatives in sustainability and ‘FIABCI-Thai PRIX D’EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2023’ for its spectacular architectural design.
Recent world-class events hosted at the Centre include MONEY 20/20 Asia, an important fintech show, the 74th FIFA Congress, AGM for the world’s football governing body, and the 62nd ICCA Congress.
