The conference brought together more than 620 researchers, engineers and industry professionals from around the world for four days of technical sessions, plenary talks and cross-border collaboration.

The event was held at MGM COTAI, an iconic integrated resort that offers world-class conference facilities together with premium accommodation under one roof, thereby minimising travel time and cost while maximising opportunities for meaningful interaction.

Beyond logistics, Macao also offers a strong sense of place. Delegates at ICEIC 2026 made time to explore the city, drawn by its unique blend of modern infrastructure, UNESCO-listed heritage and extraordinary food scene shaped by Chinese and Portuguese influences.

Behind the scenes, IPIM played a pivotal role offering close collaboration every step of the way, from early preparation to on-site delivery. The event’s organisers were supported to navigate logistical complexities with confidence. “Thanks to the very responsive support from IPIM, challenges were managed smoothly,” Lee notes.

For a city renowned for its vibrancy and vision, hosting ICEIC was a defining moment for Macao. This global city is building a future – for both its local stakeholders and international clients – powered by innovation, collaboration and limitless possibility.
