Taiwan has emerged as a premier destination for world-class exhibitions and international conferences. Events such as the 2026 Rotary International Convention, COMPUTEX and SEMICON together with its excellent convention infrastructure have put this island firmly on the events map. But with so much to offer beyond the meeting room, Taiwan is encouraging event attendees to explore further.
The new Taiwan Biz Fun Program has been launched offering five tailored itineraries designed to provide immersive cultural experiences offering a deeper connection to Taiwan’s unique charms. Organised by theme and accessible from various popular convention cities, delegates are invited to enjoy the food, culture and natural beauty of the island within a day or evening tour before or after a conference.
Route highlights
Each of the five routes showcases a different way to experience Taiwan in a day or evening, to discover the natural beauty, cultural depth and distinctive local lifestyles found within easy reach of major cities across northern, central and southern Taiwan.
1 Ocean – where business meets the breeze
Departing from Taipei World Trade Center or Taipei International Convention Center, explore the stunning geological landscape of Heping Island, Keelung. Following the waterways to Taiwan’s closest offshore island, this journey blends naval port culture and scenic beauty to discover the leisurely pace of island life. Cruise through Keelung Inner Harbour with a guided narration on its naval and maritime history before landing to explore the natural wonders of the island including extraordinary rock formations carved by wind and waves.

2 Tea culture – sip, savour and slow down
Depart Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center to discover Taiwan’s tea heritage through a tour of scenic plantations and traditional tastings. A serene trip into the mountains takes you to Pinglin to learn about the century-old tea heritage at the Pinglin Tea Museum. Enjoy tea-infused creative cuisine, stroll through the city’s ancient streets and walk a forest trail along calming streams.

3 Art & culture – beauty in old towns
Depart Messe Taoyuan and climb to an elevation of 700m to explore the preserved history of Sanxia. Experience all the natural benefits bestowed by a lush forest park before heading to Yingge, famed for its pottery. Craft your own tea vessel - a keepsake of your trip - as you unwind and experience the soothing rhythm of mountain life in Taiwan.

4 Religion & history – walk through Taiwan’s living heritage
From the ICC Tainan, discover centuries of history in Taiwan’s oldest city. Visit the city’s Temples of Life on a guided walking tour and learn about the island’s deep historic and spiritual traditions. Visit The Koxinga Shrine (Yanping Junwang Temple), Linshui Furen Temple and the historic Taiwan Fu City God Temple before visiting the local markets and century-old tea shops. Try local snacks like the Shuntian Ice Pops.
5 Night-time gourmet – sleepless in Kaohsiung
From Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, experience the spectacular night views and waterfront energy of this southern port city. A vibrant night of food, drinks and a cruise await.
