Thanks to the joint efforts of the Malaysia Water Association (Sarawak Chapter) and Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak), BCCK in Sarawak will host the International Water Association (IWA) World Water Congress and Exhibition 2028.

The next chapter: BCCK2
For the past 16 years, BCCK has consistently delivered successful large-scale international conventions and exhibitions, supported by its strong operational team.
The first international purpose-built convention centre in Sarawak, Malaysia, demand for BCCK has grown alongside Sarawak’s reputation for its rich culture and as a stunning adventure and nature destination on the beautiful island of Borneo. With Forest Reserves, National Parks and 34 ethnic groups, this is a fascinating place to explore.
The growth in events has led the Sarawak Government to expand the Centre. BCCK2 marks the next phase of the Centre’s development and will provide bespoke spaces for meaningful collaboration. The architectural design will celebrate Sarawak’s natural beauty while enhancing functionality for global-scale events. Due to be completed in early 2028, it will expand the capacity of the Centre to accommodate 10,000 delegates.
Strong support from the Sarawak Government through policy direction, strategic investment and industry partnerships continues to strengthen global confidence in Sarawak as a destination for business events.
A regional hub for innovation and collaboration in renewable energy
Aligned with PCDS 2030, Sarawak’s Post-COVID Development Strategy, the Renewable Energy & Green Growth Agenda outlines a clear vision towards a low-carbon, circular economy and promotes global collaboration in renewable energy and sustainable industries. The PCDS agenda has driven the industry to develop home-grown international events such as the Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference and Exhibition, Asia Carbon Conference, International Energy Week and Sarawak Renewable Energy Forum, showcasing Sarawak’s growing prominence as a regional hub for innovation and collaboration in renewable energy.
Sarawak leads Malaysia’s hydrogen energy development with operational projects in green hydrogen production, refuelling infrastructure and hydrogen-powered transport, underscoring its commitment to clean energy transformation.
Each international conference contributes to Sarawak’s long-term goals fostering education, research and industry engagement that leave meaningful legacies beyond the event.
