New South Wales (NSW) is home to the country’s largest technology district Tech Central - located on ICC Sydney’s doorstep - three of the world’s top 100 universities for computer science and the greatest number of STEM graduates and technology professionals
in the country. Collaboration is at its heart, with dedicated districts created by government that bring together experts from across industry, government and academia.

The city’s tech and innovation talent came together at an Innovating Events Roundtable during South by Southwest Sydney® (SXSW Sydney) , headquartered at ICC Sydney, in October. Designed to supercharge connections between emerging talent
and event organisers, in attendance were the Sydney Startup Hub, University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Startups, Investment NSW’s Tech Central and Tech Council of Australia, alongside business event clients representing professional services, education
and computing sectors, Startup CEOs and Business Events Sydney. On the table for discussion was ICC Sydney’s Legacy Program and how it could create more trusted partnerships, successful activations and new startup concepts for events that could lead
to increased opportunities for emerging talent.
It also provided an opportunity for University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Robotics Institute students to observe, network and demonstrate their skills through a partnership project with ICC Sydney to enhance customer service support.
SXSW Sydney is one of the world’s largest culture festivals for creatives and takes place across seven days and nights. Last year’s conference featured 1,400 world-class speakers with more than 400 sessions as well as workshops, mentoring and networking
events.

ICC Sydney’s team was selected to host Qualtrics X4 Sydney, an event designed to help leaders at global organisations harness the power of experience management (XM). The event welcomed 1,500 attendees across three exhibition halls,
utilising 13,600 sqms of versatile event space in July. Qualtrics took full advantage of ICC Sydney’s in-house services, with its audio-visual team constructing their largest ever 24 x 7m LED wall. The event showcased the venue’s innovative capabilities
and ability to facilitate extraordinary events.
Salesforce World Tour
Salesforce World Tour was first held at ICC Sydney in 2017 and has returned to the venue for every Sydney event held since, bouncing back after the pandemic with 8,000 attendees in 2023. A high-profile tech event with leading industry
experts, trailblazers and entrepreneurs, ICC Sydney has remained Salesforce’s venue of choice for its ability to support complex, large-scale events, maintain security for high profile attendees and empower sustainability-driven event solutions that
make measurable impact.

ICC Sydney welcomed 2,000+ high school students for The University of Technology Sydney’s inaugural UTS Startups Summit in 2023, Australia’s largest event aimed at inspiring and supporting young tech-enabled entrepreneurs. The event
featured an impressive lineup of young founders and entrepreneurs from an array of industry backgrounds, including ecommerce, software development, digital content creation and marketing, and internet of things. ICC Sydney’s team of world-class professionals
facilitated a smooth delivery, supporting all delegates to feel inspired by its industry leading Legacy Program in action.
