CHG invests in exciting new events venues on both sides of the Atlantic

With milestone new openings in London and New York, CHG is adding flexibility and considerable style to its offer for large-scale experiential events

Scaling its footprint across major markets and diversifying its expanding portfolio of brands, CHG’s latest venues will offer immense flexibility and new standards within events.

The expansion and growth comes with continued confidence in the in-person meeting experience and the value these gatherings can bring, according to President and CEO Ryan Simonetti. “We’ve secured $230 million in strategic financing to help accelerate our vision as a global, multi-brand hospitality organisation creating the places and experiences that bring people together,” he says. “It comes at a pivotal time as we acquire, build and expand a unique portfolio of brands. Our clients no longer just want a space; they’re looking for high-design environments, state-of-the-art production and human-centred hospitality to make it all happen. This capital gives us the fuel to meet those expectations.”

Convene Rathbone opening Spring 2027

Tucked away in Fitzrovia, just off Oxford Street in London’s West End, One Rathbone Square will be home to Convene Rathbone, offering 5,000 sqm of event space, when it opens in the spring.

Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry and Make Architects, One Rathbone Square occupies a well-connected prime address surrounded by world-class hotels and the capital’s extensive entertainment options on its doorstep.

A one-minute walk to Tottenham Court Road Station, its state-of-the-art production facilities will include 180° projection mapping, street-facing LED walls and dedicated rigging. Its Main hall will be technology-enabled for 800+ guests, making it ideal for hybrid events. In addition, it will offer highly customisable, brandable space layouts and dedicated on-site hospitality and event production teams.

“With Convene Rathbone, we’re creating a next-generation venue designed for immersive storytelling, high-impact events and meaningful human connection,” says Niamh Martin, CHG’s UK Managing Director. “By combining hospitality-driven experiences with flexible design and modern production technology, we’re delivering a space that empowers brands and businesses to engage global audiences in unforgettable ways.”

New event icons opening in New York

Also opening in spring 2027 is The Aperture, on Flatiron’s famed East 23rd Street corridor in New York. Spanning 26,000 sqft (2,400 sqm) across two floors and featuring a 270-degree projection mapping across a 165-ft digital canvas, it will offer a truly immersive environment for brand activations, product launches and multi-sensory events for up to 1,000 guests.

The Mallory, meanwhile, is host to versatile experiential spaces set within the iconic Terminal Warehouse in Chelsea that looks set to be the city’s next great address for stylish gatherings.

Featuring exposed brick, timber beams, arched windows and a dramatic reception lounge leading to a grand event hall with 20-ft ceilings, VIP suites and flexible gallery spaces, it will open on 29 September with sweeping Hudson River views and 50,000 sqft (4,645 sqm) of event space.
