Mark Cooper, CEO of the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC) and chair-elect of the Events Industry Council chats to Holly Patrick for this episode of Five Minutes With…
Mark talks us through the plans of both the council and the association, the huge honour he feels to represent the 400 venue operators who are part of the IACC and the new sustainability and social responsibility initiatives the association has set up for 2021 and beyond.
"I am absolutely privileged to be CEO of a group of around 400 completely entrepreneurial venue operators around the world. And again, this 2020 is an opportunity to see how those that are super creative and entrepreneurial react to the changing of venue facilities and meeting offers this year. What I take away from this year is that our members have come together and engaged with their association, and with each other, in more ways than they would have done."
A desire to travel led Holly Patrick to the business meetings and events world and she’s never looked back. Holly takes a particular interest in event sustainability and creating a diverse and inclusive industry. When she’s not working, she can be found rolling skating along Brighton seafront listening to an eclectic playlist, featuring the likes of Patti Smith, Sean Paul, and Arooj Aftab.
