PCMA, the US-based association for professional convention managers, will be holding its Convening EMEA summit in Vienna following a successful relaunch last year.
The meeting – billed as an ‘omnichannel event for business event leaders and creatives, will be held at Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center, from September 28th-30th, 2022.
Launched as an invitation only event in 2017, called the European Influencer Summit, it was rebranded as Convening EMEA last year for all business event professionals.
Last year more than 350 delegates, from 29 countries, attended the event in Lausanne, Switzerland, connecting event professionals from not only Europe, but the Middle East and Africa.
During the last year’s event PCMA partnered with AC Forum to launch a research project called Digital Events Outlook and subsequently embarked on a two-year strategic partnership.
Regional Director of PCMA EMEA, Jaimé Bennett, said: “2022 is set to build upon the success of 2021 and the connections facilitated at a time that was critical for the industry and our community as we continue our journey in making Convening EMEA the Nexus of Business Events.”
Christian Woronka, director, Vienna Convention Bureau and Market Management, said: “In Vienna, we clearly share PCMA’s vision that the business events industry is about much more than the events themselves. We strongly believe that learning and sharing knowledge at events and conferences are essential for innovation and for driving our industry forward.”
