The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) is gearing up to hold its landmark 50th anniversary congress in Melbourne, Australia.
More than 5,000 delegates from 90 countries will attend the ISTH 2019 Congress, at Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from July 6-10.
Under the theme Research, Discovery, Outcomes experts will convene to present research and discuss the advances in bleeding and clotting disorders.
"We are very excited to welcome experts to Melbourne from around the world to attend the leading scientific event in the field of thrombosis, haemostasis and vascular biology," said congress president Prof. Robert Medcalf.
"The congress will feature a range of ground-breaking research, innovative offerings and scientific advances to improve the lives of patients worldwide. Furthermore, the congress offers the perfect platform for early career professionals and others to obtain the connections and knowledge needed to advance their career."
This year 2,136 scientific abstracts from more than 75 countries have been submitted by clinicians, scientists, academics and students on a huge range of subjects.
