MCI Group, the professional congress organiser, has snapped up Chicago-based association management company Sentergroup for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition of the 28-strong firm, now called MCI Chicago, boosts Switzerland-based MCI Group’s presence in the USA to 350 staff across six offices.
Worldwide MCI Group employs more than 2,500 people.
Sebastien Tondeur, MCI Group chief executive officer, said the USA offered ‘unlimited potential’.
“This acquisition is a small step on our path of further integrating and developing the USA platform to deliver a unique blend of expertise and innovation,” he said.
Craig Sondalle, president, Sentergroup, added: “With MCI, we not only see alignment in our culture, philosophy and expertise, but also a tremendous opportunity for both our staff and clients to take advantage of the growth potential afforded by being part of a global, multi-faceted company”.
