Innovative destinations, associations, venues and organisations with transformative marketing campaigns are being invited to enter ICCA’s Best Marketing Award 2026.

The award, sponsored by Northstar Meetings Group, is open to ICCA members from all regions and sectors within the international meetings community and is designed to spotlight campaigns that challenge norms, strengthen community engagement and push boundaries of creative and strategic thinking.

This year’s theme - ‘imagination and impact: where creativity meets strategy’ – is designed to highlight the vital connection between bold ideas and real-world results at a time when associations face increasing pressure to diversify revenue, ensure relevance, and build financial resilience.

Submissions – due by 28 August – will be judged on creativity as well as their ability to demonstrate strategic insight, evidence-based outcomes, and added value to the association community.

ICCA CEO Dr. Senthil Gopinath, said: “Marketing today is about storytelling, strategy, data, and delivering meaningful impact. The Best Marketing Award celebrates those who dare to imagine differently and deliver results that strengthen our global community.”

Ross Barker, vice president sales, EMEA at Northstar Meetings Group, added: “The meetings and events industry is constantly evolving, and marketing often leads that change. The ICCA Best Marketing Award highlights the campaigns that challenge convention and bring fresh thinking to how destinations and organisations engage with their audiences. At Northstar Meetings Group, we’re proud to support an initiative that celebrates the creativity and ambition driving our industry forward.”

Finalists will present their campaigns live at the2026 ICCA Congress in Panama City, (8-11 November) where the winner will be announced.

The winning project will be featured on the ICCA website and receive dedicated global PR. Winners will also be able to attend a Northstar Meetings Group event and gain a speaking opportunity at the next ICCA Congress, alongside other opportunities.
