Madrid will welcome the European Society for Medical
Oncology Congress for a third time in eight years.
The 2023 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO)
Congress will take place from 20 to 24 October 2023 at IFEMA Madrid and is
expected to draw large numbers of health care professionals. Previous ESMO congresses
drew 19,800 attendees in 2014 and 23,700 in 2017, and organisers expect next
year’s delegation to be even larger, with medical oncologists, researchers,
patient advocates, journalists, and representatives of the health care industry
from around the world already signed up.
The congress will focus on innovations in cancer treatment,
new technologies and therapies for oncological disorders. The programme will
facilitate ample time for international experts in medical oncology to exchange
ideas. The congress will include an educational programme and will offer networking
opportunities for oncologists and other stakeholders.
ESMO is committed to making the latest scientific data and
the highest quality education available to all professional oncologists
wherever they may be. The ESMO Congress will be a face-to-face experience and
will also offer a convenient interactive virtual format for those who choose to
participate remotely.
