Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) has opened a bonded warehouse to make life easier for exhibitors and event organisers wanting to temporarily import equipment.
It is the first city-center venue in Bangkok to offer the facility and has been hailed as an important step in improving the attractiveness of the city as a meetings destination.
Organisers and exhibitors will be able to use the warehouse without providing import duty guarantees or preparing ATA Carnet documentation, reducing paperwork.
QSNCC said the initiative was intended to improve 'operational efficiency' for international exhibitors while strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness as a destination for events.
To manage the facility, QSNCC has appointed APT Showfreight (Thailand) Ltd., part of the APT Showfreight & Logistics Group, a specialist in exhibition and event logistics.
The company has offices across China, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
As bonded warehouse manager, APT will provide services including import and export handling, customs clearance and delivery of goods directly to exhibition areas.
Surapol Utintu, CEO of QSNCC, said the warehouse was “more than just a new service for organisers and exhibitors” and described it as “an important piece of Thailand’s international exhibition and event ecosystem.”
He said event organisers increasingly assess not only venue quality but also the strength of supporting infrastructure that enables efficient event operations.
Suthichai Techanarungroj, regional director of APT Showfreight & Logistics Group, said the company was honored to be appointed Bonded Warehouse Manager for QSNCC.
He said several major events were already planning to use the service, including Asia Sustainable Energy Week 2026 and Thai Water 2026, CPHI Southeast Asia 2026, Food & Hospitality Thailand 2026, the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, and Jewellery & Gem ASEAN Bangkok 2027.
QSNCC said the launch marked another milestone in expanding services for global event organizers and reinforces its role in developing a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates venue facilities, logistics services and supporting infrastructure for the international meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry.
