AIPC, the Brussels-based international association of convention centres, has welcomed venue operator GL Events as its first group member – starting next year.

The announcement was made at the AIPC Annual Conference, taking place at the newly renovated HUNGEXPO, in Budapest, itself part of the GL Events Group.

The company has 53 venues in 13 countries, including 24 convention centres, which will be given full membership of AIPC from January 2023.

Christophe Cizeron, CEO of GL events Venues, said: “Joining the AIPC family is embracing its high level of quality, combined knowledge and experience, educational and ethical values.”

Greg O’Dell, president of AIPC, added: “This is a very important step and a recognition of the value our association brings to its global community.”
