A 25-hour international live-stream worship event saw 53,000 people gather in Malaysia and online from 192 countries.

Gather25, a global Christian conference, employed the services of Interprefy, a provider of managed Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) and AI-powered live translation technology, to translate the worship into 70 languages.

The event is thought to be the first for global faith communities.

"This event showcased not only Interprefy’s ability to deliver large-scale interpretation but also its innovation in AI-powered speech translation,” said Interprefy CEO, Oddmund Braaten. "The synergy between human expertise and AI allowed for flawless simultaneous interpretation and AI Speech Translation, making the event more accessible than ever before."

Interprefy provided:
  • Extensive language support: 55 languages translated using AI and 14 languages interpreted using RSI, enabling participants to engage in their native tongues.
  • A dedicated team: 75 highly skilled interpreters, 19 remote support technicians, and cross-departmental collaboration from marketing to development teams.
  • Robust Infrastructure: 40 primary channels, 36 backup channels and 12 virtual gateways, ensuring uninterrupted service across five continents.
