Business Events Sydney (BESydney) has appointed Tina
Demetriou as a social impact specialist to drive the positive impact of events in the city.
The appointment is part of BESydney’s Change Starts Here
agenda which highlights the changemakers and industries in Sydney that can influence
global change for good.
In her new role, Demetriou will focus on how to maximise positive
social impact from the bidding stage of an event all the way through to
delivery, paying particular attention to measuring the event's impact. Initially, Demetriou will
build out the Sydney business events impact ecosystem, before working with the
client engagement team and clients to establish shared impact intentions
and action plans.
BESydney CEO, Lyn Lewis-Smith said, “We are so looking
forward to taking our Social Impact agenda to the next level with Tina on
