From sustainability to AI, price inflation to DEI, the biggest challenges facing meeting and event planners will be revealed in a new survey, which opened this week.

The Northstar/Cvent Pulse Survey has been providing planners with an accurate portrait of the meetings and events market since its launch during the Covid-19 pandemic.

What started as a North American exercise has now become a truly international affair with the latest iteration surveying event planners from the EMEA and APAC regions, too.

The survey will compare responses from around the world to give a truly international perspective. The aim of the survey is to help event planners negotiate contracts and carry out their day-to-day activities while having a clear view of the latest market trends.

Typically, more than a third of the respondents are from associations and professional conference organisers, with the balance made up of corporates and independent planners.

Northstar Meetings Group UK editorial director and AMI editor James Lancaster said: “The Pulse survey has proved a remarkably accurate gauge of market conditions and trends in the meetings and event space, which takes a lot of the guess work out of decision making from a planner’s perspective.  Clearly the more people who take the survey the better, so we would encourage everyone to take a few minutes out of their busy schedules to help keep the sector informed.”

Those who complete the survey will be the first to receive the report in early October.

The survey closes on October 1st. To take the survey click here.
