Marking the 10 year anniversary of IMEX America and the first since the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s edition is set to be a ‘homecoming for the industry’, according to organisers.
Kicking off just one day after the US travel ban is lifted on 8 November, IMEX America is set to welcome 3,000 global buyers and 2,200 exhibiting companies at its new home at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
“IMEX America is the very first international event to open once the US travel ban lifts on November 8, and by bringing together a large cross-section of the global and US business events community at the show, we hope to pave the way for the sector’s regeneration and recovery,” IMEX Group CEO Carina Bauer, said.
With the lift of the travel ban, IMEX Group has reported strong signup from European and Asian-Pacific buyers and suppliers with meeting industry representatives attending from across the world, including from The Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Scandinavia, Australia, Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Singapore.
IMEX America organisers used the new location to rethink and refresh what’s included in the show with one new addition being the ‘Relaxation Reef’ dedicated to hosting a programme of wellbeing activities in the venue’s Shark Reef Aquarium, home to more than 2,000 sea creatures.
Focused education sessions on a range of topics from communication, diversity and accessibility, innovation and tech, and business recovery will also be available to all attendees throughout the event.
The addition of the Executive Meeting Forum will offer relevant and dedicated sessions and networking opportunities for senior-level corporate executives from Fortune 2000 companies while the new Corporate Focus education sessions will be open to all planners from corporations at all levels.
Association leaders can also connect with their colleagues at the Association Leadership Forum, created by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
IMEX America takes place 9 – 11 November at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas with Smart Monday, powered by MPI, on 8 November. To register – for free – click here. For more details about accommodation deals and to book, click here.
