The World Economic Forum is among six organisations co-curating the programme for the 65th ICCA Congress, with 60 per cent of the schedule dedicated to peer exchange, workshops and networking.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has joined the programme for the 65th ICCA Congress, which will take place in Panama in November 2026.

The organisation is one of six cross-sector co-curators shaping the programme, alongside UN Tourism, CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, IEEE, AC Forum and the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development.

The expanded speaker lineup also includes Ramya Krishnaswamy and Charlotte Boutboul, who join keynote speaker and environmental activist Erin Brockovich.

The Congress will use a format described as “Congresses within a Congress”, with 60 per cent of the schedule allocated to peer exchange, interactive workshops and networking rather than traditional conference sessions.

The programme aims to bring together perspectives from technology, association management, tourism and social sustainability, with a focus on knowledge exchange and cross-sector collaboration.

ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath said: “This collaboration represents a landmark moment for ICCA and the global meetings industry. As the first event of its kind, it demonstrates ICCA’s unique ability to connect diverse sectors and stakeholders, reinforcing our role as a global leader and catalyst for innovation, knowledge exchange, and meaningful impact.”

Panama’s minister of tourism, Gloria De León, said: “Panama exists as a crossing between worlds, which is exactly what this Congress celebrates. Hosting the 65th ICCA Congress affirms our role as the meeting place of the Americas and advances a clear ambition to position the country among the world’s leading destinations for international association meetings.”
