It was a night to remember for Monaco, as the principality scored a remarkable double win at the 38th annual M&IT Awards, taking home gold for both Best Overseas Convention Bureau (Visit Monaco Convention Bureau) and Best Overseas Conference Centre (Grimaldi Forum Monaco).
They weren’t the only winners on a glittering evening that saw more than 700 industry professionals gather at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London for the “Oscars of the industry.” The event shone a spotlight on the very best of meetings and events, from outstanding venues and agencies to inspirational individuals.
The evening began with a show-stopping performance from The Greatest Show, setting the tone for a night of celebration, recognition, and inspiration. Host Vernon Kay kept the energy high with humour and warmth, while headline sponsor IHG Hotels & Resorts welcomed guests.

- Chris Parnham was named Personality of the Year, earning a standing ovation. ICCA president James Rees hailed him as a “true driving force” whose leadership, resilience, and generosity have left a profound mark on the industry.
- Gabby Austen-Browne, founder of Diversity Alliance, received the inaugural M&IT Editor’s Award for her transformative work advancing diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in events.

The charity foundation Meeting Needs raised funds through a raffle and auction, before attendees took to the dancefloor to celebrate well into the early hours.
Paul Harvey, Editor of M&IT, said: “This year’s M&IT Awards were absolutely fantastic – the energy in the room was incredible. The awards are such a highlight in the meetings and events calendar because the winners don’t just showcase the very best of our industry – they’re chosen by the industry itself.”
