Sands Resorts Macao hosted 200 event professionals from around the world at the five-day Sands Lifestyle #ReDiscover Macao 2023 - the destination's first post-pandemic mega-fam.
Held across the three integrated resorts (The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Londoner Macao), the programme provided attendees with knowledge of Sands Resort Macao’s range of meeting, exhibition and conference facilities. This was complemented by the incentive component, which demonstrated the plethora of gastronomic, cultural and heritage experiences on offer at the resort.
Kris Kaminsky, senior vice president of hotel operations at Sands China, said, “Sands Lifestyle #ReDiscover Macao 2023 is the first post-pandemic mega MICE familiarisation trip that Sands Resorts Macao has organised. The carefully curated itinerary gave attendees an immersive experience of all that makes Macao a world-class MICE destination and showcased our ongoing support of the Macao Government Tourism Office’s ‘tourism + MICE’ initiative. We also showcased our comprehensive MICE capabilities, which are needed for seamless and successful MICE events, to our business partners from all around the world.”

The trip kicked off with a welcome cocktail reception at the Observation Deck within The Parisian Macao’s Eiffel Tower, while day two, saw the #ReDiscover Macao 2023 Forum held at The Londoner Macao’s Smart Stage - Macao's first hybrid meetings space. The forum’s two panel discussions were: “Innovation & Technology from the Lens of an Event Planner” and “Talent Retention, Motivation & Optimisation”.
Team building activities followed with the immersive Chef’s Challenge, before groups enjoyed the Wellness Programme at teamLab SuperNature Macao. Attendees also took part in an array of bespoke activities across Macao with different themes, from heritage site visits to behind-the-scenes tours, before the fam trip came to a finale with the London Jubilee – The Gala dinner, held at the Londoner Arena.
