Exhibition association wooed by Guadalajara's 'energy'

UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, has announced that its 94th UFI Global Congress will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico, from 3-6 November 2027.

The decision was unanimously approved by the board of directors during the UFI European Events Week 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Guadalajara’s 'energy, international reach, and dedication to the exhibitions industry' were key factor's in the organisation's decision.

The UFI Global Congress is the exhibition industry’s leading annual event, bringing together industry leaders from around the world to network, exchange ideas, and shape the future of the sector. Each year, Congress is held in a different region, reflecting UFI’s global footprint.

Following the 2024 edition in Cologne, the event will travel to Hong Kong in 2025 and Bahrain in 2026 before arriving in Guadalajara in 2027.

The 2027 Congress in Guadalajara will mark a return to the Americas, following previous editions in Las Vegas, USA (2023) and Bogotá, Colombia (2014).

Gustavo Staufert Buclon, CEO of the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau, added: "Our commitment to the meetings industry is strong and unwavering. We are members of the BestCities Global Alliance, IAPCO, Destinations International, IGLTA, among others We recently hosted AFIDA and IFES, and now it’s our turn to welcome the UFI Global Congress 2027. We are ready!"

The event will be hosted by the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau.
