More than 6,000 international lawyers are expected to visit Copenhagen in 2026 when the city will host the Annual Conference of the International Bar Association – IBA.

IBA represents members from around 180 countries and the conference is the world’s largest congress for legal professionals. The win is the result of a year-long collaboration between Danske Advokater (Association of Danish Law Firms), Advokatsamfundet (The Danish Bar and Law Society), Bella Center and Copenhagen Convention Bureau.

“We’re incredibly excited that Copenhagen will host the IBA Congress in 2026. Together with our partners, we’ve been working on attracting this congress since 2014, and we feel confident that Copenhagen will provide an amazing urban setting for this prestigious event,” says Bettina Reventlow-Mourier, Deputy Convention Director at Wonderful Copenhagen.

The congress will take place at Bella Center over five days in autumn 2026.
