The Austria Center Vienna has reported a record year,
generating revenues of EUR 25.9 million in 2025.
The venue, which underwent scheduled modernisation in 2024,
held 78 events, including the European Congress of Radiology and the European
Geosciences Union General Assembly, with around 190,000 participants in 2025.
It was the first year the venue had operated at full capacity,
resulting in a 68% rise in revenue compared to the previous year. According to
an EcoAustria study, Austria Center Vienna’s total economic impact was EUR 445
million in terms of GDP effect for Austria.
"We are very proud of this extraordinary result,"
said Dr Susanne Baumann-Söllner, spokesperson of the venue's board. "The
figures impressively demonstrate that, thanks to the modernisation, we are
competing in the absolute top tier internationally.
“The fact that one in three international congress delegates
in Vienna now visits our venue proves that we are hitting the exact nerve of
global event organisers with our modern, digitalised infrastructure and our
clear focus on sustainability.”
Building works undertaken in 2025, included the installation of a fully
digitalised building management system and new immersive event technology.
