Houston, known as the Bayou City, has acres and acres of great spots for groups. The George R. Brown Convention Center is anchored on one end by the 1,207-room Hilton Americas Houston, with 91,000 square feet of meeting space, and on the other end by the 1,000-room Marriott Marquis Houston, with 150,000 square feet of event space. The convention facility itself offers 1.8 million square feet of exhibit and meeting space, and Avenida Houston, the district around the center, features more than 60 restaurants, such as the Grove right in the Discovery Green park across from the center. Also nearby are the 18,300-seat Toyota Center and baseball's Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros.
