Registrations have opened for the European Association
Summit & Awards taking place in spring.
The revamped one-day
programme, now run exclusively by the European Society of Association
Executives, features more than 10 sessions, with an emphasis on advocacy and policymaking.
The hot topics of the day – DEI, sustainability, and AI –
will be covered in a series of parallel sessions, while the day ends with a keynote speech on innovation.
Mike Morrissey, ESAE president & CEO, European Cancer
Organisation, said: “As association executives ourselves, we are sensitive to
the needs and topics that matter the most to our peers.
“We want to create a summit designed by Association
professionals, for association professionals, aimed at advancing
knowledge-sharing for all. We hope to build on the success of past editions by
being inclusive and collaborative across our community.”
Meanwhile applications are open for the European Association Awards,
held at the end of the summit, which cover four categories: impact,
digital communications, event transformation, and DEI.
The 'Impact Award' rewards any project that focuses more on
the overarching vision and values of an association than on its day-to-day
operations. This can include a Legacy project, a charity initiative, a
mentoring or educational programme, or a change of policy.
The 'Digital Communication Award' rewards the use of
innovative digital tools in the optimisation of an association's outreach or of
its ability to represent the interests of its members towards institutions and
the general public.
The 'Event Transformation Award' rewards innovation in the
rethinking of an association's meetings and events. It can pertain to the
design and format of an event, or to the use of new technologies to make it
more inclusive, efficient, sustainable, or able to reach more stakeholders.
The 'DEI Awards' rewards projects built around the
principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Those projects can apply DEI
internally, within the association, or externally, with regard to its members,
stakeholders, or the general public.
The European Association Summit & Awards takes place at
The Merode, Brussels, May 22, 2024.
